Operating non-stop since 2000, the Cinema em Movimento (Movies in Motion) project is the largest non-commercial movie exhibition initiative in Brazil. Its activities include free screenings of full-length, medium and short films produced recently in Brazil, using public areas, schools and universities, as well as audiovisual capacity-building workshops.
Fully modular and with simultaneous and integrated implementation capabilities in all 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District, the Cinema em Movimento project offers in-person or online learning activities in four different areas: Community Circuit, School Circuit, University Circuit and Audiovisual Capacity-Building Workshops.
Today, these projects, circuits and workshops are conducted with support mechanisms at all three levels of government (municipal, state, and federal), such as incentive laws, partnerships and other agreements.
